Organoclay advantages

Organoclay boasts notable advantages in the production of oil – based products, bringing valuable improvements to their performance. A key advantage lies in its straightforward application: during the manufacturing of 油脂类 products such as lubricating oils and greases, organoclay can be directly added to oils heated to 80 – 100℃, with the addition amount ranging from 2% to 5% of the oil’s mass. After addition, high – speed shear dispersion is applied using a disperser operating at 2000 – 3000 rpm for 20 – 30 minutes, ensuring organoclay is fully dispersed in the oil to form a uniform and stable system. This enables organoclay to play a role in thickening and preventing sedimentation, increasing the oil’s viscosity and stability. For example, in greases, it effectively enhances lubrication and adhesion properties under high – temperature and high – load conditions, highlighting its practical advantages.
