CP-EZ10 organoclay is a new organic bentonite product that is easy to disperse, has a high thixotropic property, and is transparent.
It can be used in low and medium polarity systems with a small amount of activator and is evenly dispersed using high-speed shearing.
It is an ideal thickening agent with stable thixotropic property due to its outstanding anti-sagging and anti-flowing properties.
Composition Organic derivative of a montmorillonite clay
Appearance Fine powder, white
Moisture content (105℃,2hr) ≤3.5%
Loss on ignition (1000℃) 29%-32%
Bulk density 0.53g/cm3
Fineness (<74μm, %) ≥98%
- Easy dispersion,
- Fine particle size
- Prevents pigment
- Settling during storage
- High viscosity and thixotropy
- Enhances flow and leveling
CP-EZ10 is used in the following applications:
- Chloride rubber paint
- Furniture paint
- Asphalt paint
- Anti-corrosive paint
Under high shear conditions, CP-EZ10 can be added directly to powder.
After adding the product, add the activator in the amount of 20% organic
bentonite and disperse with high-speed mixing or grinding.
Polar activators include ethanol/water (95/5), methanol/water (95/5).
Polarity activator can be saved in low-moisture base paint systems.
The amount for regular coating is 0.2-1.5 percent, and it is 1-2.7 percent for coating with high thixotropic property or thick coating.
