The application method of organoclay dry powder adapts to different industrial needs to maximize its functionality.

In oil drilling, the most prevalent industry for organoclay application, dry powder is utilized to notably boost mud stability, giving the mud favorable rheological characteristics, efficient drilling lubrication, and resistance to corrosion.

When it comes to sewage treatment, organoclay dry powder, thanks to its strong adsorption capacity, is widely used in purifying sewage and wastewater.

The process includes adding the dry powder to the organic wastewater in a specific ratio, then stirring (or using microwave irradiation), allowing it to stand for sedimentation, separating solid and liquid, and releasing the treated water once it meets emission criteria. In composite materials, particularly in polymer and polymer modification areas, organoclay dry powder is applied.

Since the 1980s,  many countries have widely used the technology of applying it as a rubber filler. Nano – scale organoclay dry powder is used in the nano – modification of some plastic (nylon, epoxy resin, polyolefin, etc.) and rubber products, which can effectively enhance their heat resistance, strength, and wear resistance.
