Organoclay grades | Different organoclay grades are defined by their suitability for particular production processes, especially in coating manufacturing. One prominent grade is designed for the creation of pre – gels, a critical step in coating production.

It involves blending organoclay with solvents like xylene or butyl acetate in a mass ratio ranging from 1:3 to 1:5. The mixture undergoes dispersion in a high – speed disperser operating at 1000 – 1500 rpm for 15 to 20 minutes, resulting in an organoclay pre – gel.

This grade stands out for its capacity to improve dispersion in coating systems when prepared as a pre – gel, catering to the needs of coatings that demand consistent material distribution.
