Organoclay in adhesive formulations: The physical properties of organic bentonite offer multiple advantages for grease production, with its light yellow, fine powder appearance and high fineness index being particularly critical.
Laser particle size analysis shows that over 98% of the particles have a diameter of less than 74 μm, with a median particle size (D50) of just 25 μm and a D90 of 55 μm. This fine particle size ensures rapid dispersion in the base oil.
Compared to coarse-grained bentonite, the wetting time is reduced from 30 minutes to 5 minutes, and no visible particles remain after dispersion.
The resulting grease has a light color, with an ASTM color value below 2.0, making it suitable for lubricating precision instruments with high aesthetic requirements, such as optical equipment and medical devices.
More importantly, the fine particle size reduces the risk of abrasive wear on mechanical components. Four-ball wear tests show that the wear scar diameter is 20% smaller than that of products using coarse-grained bentonite, effectively extending equipment lifespan.

Organophilic clay Store in a dry, well-ventilated area with temperature of 0℃-30℃. Keep container closed. The quality guarantee period is 24 months.
When it is used in Grease Lubricant, polar activator is needed. Polar activator is acetone/water(95/5). The dosage of activator is 20%-30% of the weight of CP-720A. And also high shear can promote the dispersing of rheology modifier CP-720A.

Note: With High-speed dispersant of grinding machine, and properly prolong the dispersing time, better gelatin performance can be reached.
The Lubricanting grease which uses organoclay as thickener will own high dropping point, thus can be used under high temperature and presents good impermeability and water resistance.
