The super dispersion grade of organoclay is designed to deliver superior dispersion, with proper activator dosage playing a key role in its performance.

This grade requires a balanced amount of activator: too little means even strong shear force fails to fully separate all flakes, leading to partial dissociation and weak gel strength.

Too much activator results in excess migrating to flake edges, disrupting hydrogen bonds and reducing gel effectiveness.

The optimal activation is achieved using a blend of 95% activator and 5% water, where the 5% water notably boosts gel viscosity. Enhancing usability, certain specially modified organoclay rheological agents in the super dispersion grade can be added directly during grinding, removing the requirement for pre – gel preparation.
