Heating and pre-treating the base oil is a key process optimization to enhance the dispersion efficiency of organic bentonite.

Heating the base oil to 60-70°C according to specifications significantly reduces oil phase viscosity (e.g., polyester oil viscosity drops to half of room temperature at 60°C), accelerating bentonite powder wetting and dispersion. Comparative experiments show that heating reduces dispersion time by 60% compared to room temperature, with significantly improved dispersion uniformity and a 90% reduction in undispersed particles.

Temperature control must be precise: below 60°C, viscosity reduction is insufficient, and dispersion efficiency decreases; above 70°C, some light components of the base oil may evaporate, affecting lubrication performance.

In actual operation, it is recommended to use jacket heating, gradually increasing the temperature while stirring until the target temperature is reached, maintaining it for 5 minutes before adding organic bentonite, ensuring the base oil temperature is uniformly stable to create optimal conditions for subsequent dispersion.
