Degassing and filtration processes are critical steps in ensuring the final quality of organic bentonite grease.

Air bubbles introduced during dispersion can disrupt the integrity of the gel network, leading to volume expansion or separation during storage.

Vacuum degassing (vacuum pressure -0.09 to -0.1 MPa) for 15–20 minutes removes over 99% of air bubbles, ensuring product structural stability. Filtration uses a 100–150 mesh filter to intercept undispersed coarse particles and external impurities, preventing abrasive wear during equipment operation.

A case study of lubricating grease for construction machinery shows that the degassed and filtered product, when used in loader bearings, reduced operational noise by 3 decibels and extended bearing lifespan to 1.5 times the original duration. Regular inspections of the filter mesh are required during production to prevent blockages that could impair filtration efficiency.
