pe powder

pe powder : Polyethylene micro powder, which appears as white fine powder, is widely used in glass tanks, which is also its application in reinforcing plastics. In garbage processing, polyethylene micro powder is a relatively efficient additive, which can improve the product’s low temperature resistance, maintain its good mechanical and chemical properties.

Meanwhile, it’s reported that micro powder can also enhance product toughness and reduce water absorption rate. Polyethylene micro powder can also reduce stress cracking and minimize waste loss during the production process.

Moreover, pe powder can improve the dimensional stability of our products, control their shrinkage, and enhance the uniformity of color, making the surface appear more delicate, improving the dispersibility of pigments and fillers.

When applied to the extrusion process, polyethylene micro powder significantly reduces or eliminates phenomena such as slagging, peeling, and scarring during production.

Based on these advantages, polyethylene micro powder is applied in various industrial fields. When applied to the plastics industry as a modifier for plastics, polyethylene micro powder can be applied to improve performance in the epoxy resin, ABS phenolic resin, and PVC resin industries.

When applied to casting and epoxy branches, its flexibility can be improved. Adding it to ABS can improve its processing performance. Adding pe powder to rigid PVC can improve its fluidity and impact resistance. In some composite plastics, it is used as a modified mixture.

Polyethylene micro powder can also be used in pigments, paints, and inks, which is similar to the application of organoclay. Its role is to modify the physical properties of pigments, paints, and inks.

When applied to these areas, pe powder can reduce the gloss of the coating, thus reducing the amount of matting agent used, and also improves the anti-friction properties of the ink as a dispersant.

The largest application area of polyethylene micro powder should be in glass fiber reinforced plastics. Typically, the dosage is 1% to 8% of the entire formula, and the final amount added should still be determined based on the shape of the product and the types of pigments and fillers.

In the extrusion process, the dosage range is 1% to 6% of the resin amount. For some thick-walled products, we recommend using 3% to 5%, and for thin-walled products, the recommended dosage is 2% to 3%.

If your product has special requirements for surface smoothness, then the dosage can be increased slightly, such as between 5% and 10%. For example, window frames, tool handles, and some large and complex profiles, the dosage can be slightly increased.

In addition to applying polyethylene micro powder to the above areas, we also apply pe powder to cosmetics as a friction agent, in the rubber field as a processing aid or anti-blocking agent, and in lubricating oil to improve its slip performance.

For the continued storage of micro powder, we operate away from all sources of fire and pay attention to ventilation. Polyethylene micro powder can also be applied to hot melt adhesives.

In the mixing process, the adhesive is added to the formula at the beginning, and the recommended addition proportion is between 0.5% and 2%. There is no need to change the ratio of manganese dioxide and graphite during this period.

Polyethylene micro powder can be used for coating and bonding processes for paper and textile fibers. This application area demonstrates the chemical resistance and heat sealing ability of polyethylene micro powder. Polyethylene micro powder can also be used in metal coatings.
